Ladew Garden Glow
In 2015, Ladew Topiary Gardens, one of North America’s top 5 national gardens, located in Harford County, hired us to concept a community-oriented fall fundraiser. The event celebrated its 8 year this month and is a fall arts celebration full of local food and beverages, glowing art installations, live music, retail vendors, an 800- count jack o’ lantern display, 30 carving artists, and performing artists, and sells out to over 2,000 people per night. The community comes out in droves to either support the
event through volunteer opportunities or as a paying guest.
Lead the branding, marketing (collateral, print, social, PR, and web), ticketing, sponsorship support, event experience, event production and logistics management, onsite event management and vendor curation and management.
Vender pool includes community glow artists, carver artists, community carvers,
photography and video production, educational vendor partners, all food and beverage providers, musicians, performance artists, production teams, and internal client teams. Every year, we are charged with bringing in new and innovative ideas to the event.
In its 8 year, Ladew has enjoyed an event that started as a one-night event and is now a 5-night event. It sells out in 3 days, with only 300 tickets generally left for the general public. The success of the event formula, coupled with elevated event branding, and PR efforts has fueled explosive growth and interest for Ladew Topiary Gardens in the last 5 years.
Baltimore Next Generation Event
We were hired to concept a fundraising event in 2009 to raise funds to provide educational opportunities for underserved children in Baltimore City. This event ran for 14 years, annually, starting in 2010 and successfully raised millions of dollars to support the following inner city organizations: KIPP: Baltimore, Southwest Baltimore Charter School, Next One Up, and Children’s Scholarship Fund Baltimore.
Each year, the event would host 4 keynote speakers (investors) who would share
their thinking and strategies on select stock picks.. In return, guests would pay a high ticket cost. Individuals and corporations from all the major financial institutions in the Baltimore area came together to support the event through sponsorship, individual
ticket sales and or by speaking.
Event design and formatting, branding, marketing (website, email,
collateral) photography, sponsorship support, event planning and production,
including vendor management, and onsite event oversight.
The fundraiser raised millions of dollars over the course of its lifetime for
the 4 organizations due to both the event and also post event investment strategies.
The Creative Alliance
The Creative Alliance (a local non-profit that builds communities by bringing together artists and audiences from various backgrounds to experience arts and education programs and engage in the creative process.) was looking for a partner to help them elevate a popular annual fundraising event they host every April called The Marquee Ball, to celebrate and acknowledge their 30-year anniversary. 8 Boxwood Lane Creative reimagined the VIP dinner by introducing an elevated level of decor to create a magical experience for their guests. In addition, we brought in a high-level of project management to help internal teams with the planning and production process and to provide an enhanced level of organization on the night of the gala.
