FEATURED PROJECTS
Mouth Party
8 Boxwood Lane Creative was tasked by Mouth Party to create a new e- commerce website to support their sales. We were, of course, happy to help them leverage the internet by turning it into a key revenue generator for them but when making a major investment, it doesn’t make sense, unless the content that will be included is reflective of the brand.
Mouth Party Caramels produce an amazing product. Homemade, small-batch, locally made caramels with special, periodic flavor launches. These candies are a true luxury in the world of candy and gifts and Mouth Party’s branding in 2012 was not on the same level as its product.
We proposed updating their creative, overall, to attract a more sophisticated, fashion forward group of customers. Efforts included brand strategy exercises which helped them identify who and where they wanted to be in the market. New brand creative was introduced based on the outcome of our strategic planning efforts that included an updated logo, a new approach to their photography and a brand style guide that would inform creative development of brand and marketing pieces moving forward.
The creative direction and branding was inspired by the simple beauty of their product. The focus of the creative was on the single, raw, gorgeous pieces of caramel. The older pictures of candy that was placed in environments with flowers and baskets, was removed to make way for new creative.
By shooting the candy on sheer white backgrounds, this creative approach allowed the candy and wrapper “to be hero,” capturing the imagination of caramel lovers everywhere. The logo too was updated by tweaking the font to appeal to a more international, fashion-forward audience. And, new marketing pieces- including the new e-commerce website (shopify), catalog, a brand video, trade show banners, gift cards, package labels and other business critical pieces were all recreated to include the new look and feel.
The first year, after these pieces were introduced, Mouth Party’s website revenue increased by 60 percent.
Forage Hill Farm
in 2023, the founder of Forage Hill Farm reached out to us to help them create a brand for their “in development” regenerative farm, in northern Baltimore county. The vision for the farm at the time we started working together was magical, and we we can now say the actual farm is also truly magical. They are getting ready to celebrate their second birthday during this coming 2026 growing season. We developed a logo and brand foundation for the young farm that included typography, color palette and imagery direction. In addition, the branding extended itself into multiple channels including social media, a simple website, email and other collateral including packaging and business cards.
Weetenkamp + Eikenberg
Real estate agents Meg Weekenkamp and Mary Beth Eikenberg of Cummings + Co reached out to us to formalize and brand their new business partnership. Their inspiration? The 8 Boxwood Lane Creative green. We created a new logo, corporate stationery, business cards, oversaw the build of a new website, created a newsletter and also provided them with new photography for their marketing investment. In addition we created a year long marketing calendar so they could output content via email and social on a strategic and regular basis.
“It’s important for us to have these pieces in place to help us stand out amidst a sea of realtors,” said Meg Weetenkamp.
